Nyon recently welcomed some of Europe’s toughest cyclists as they crossed the finish line of the Gravel Trans Jura—a gruelling 450+ km challenge with a jaw-dropping 12,000 metres of elevation from Baden to the shores of Lake Geneva. The riders pushed past exhaustion, muscle burn, and mountain climbs… and when it was all done, they deserved more than just applause.

They needed real food. Comforting food. SYGDI food.

🔥 Fuel from Fire. Flavour from the Heart.

At SYGDI, we don’t just serve meals—we create moments. Our Indian street food, cooked over an open flame, brings together authenticity, warmth, and bold flavours in every bite. For this event, we fired up our grills to deliver a menu packed with protein, energy, and the spices of India—perfect for tired legs and hungry hearts.

Whether you were a cyclist, a volunteer, or a passer-by curious about the smoky aroma in the air—SYGDI had something special for you.

Here's What Was On the Menu:

🔥 Hot Dishes

  • Paneer Tikka – Flame-grilled Indian cottage cheese, marinated to perfection

  • Paneer Wrap – A flavourful veg wrap, warm and ready to grab

  • Chicken Tikka – Tender, smoky, and packed with traditional spices

  • Chicken Tikka Wrap – A hearty, satisfying bite on the go

  • Rajma Chawal – Comfort in a bowl: red kidney bean curry with steamed rice

🥤 Drinks to Cool Down

  • Nimbu Pani – Classic Indian lemonade, citrusy and energising

  • Lassi – Sweet yoghurt drink, perfect after a long ride

  • Ice Tea & Cola – For a fizzy lift

  • Water – The essential refresher

💬 The Response? Pure Appreciation.

“We couldn’t have imagined a better food partner for our event! The dishes were spot on for recovery, and the whole SYGDI team brought real warmth to the finish line.” – Event Organiser

We couldn’t be prouder to serve food that not only satisfied hunger but uplifted spirits.

🌍 More Than a Meal

For us, this event was about more than fuelling athletes—it was about sharing Indian food culture in a fresh, approachable way. By keeping our service open to the public in Nyon, we invited curious locals to try something new and exciting. Many stayed longer just to enjoy the food. Some asked where we’d be next.

And that’s exactly what we love: turning first tastes into lasting memories.

Where to Next?

Gravel Trans Jura was just the beginning. SYGDI is ready to pop up at more races, festivals, and community events—anywhere people come together and food brings them closer.

Whether you’re climbing mountains or strolling the town square, you’ll know when SYGDI is near:🔥 The fire is lit.🥘 The food is hot.💛 The welcome is warm.
